I took some hand poured refined silver and a nice refined gold bb in . I refined all of my metals in acids and removed all base metals. The guy behind the counter claimed that a stone was in my gold, which is impossible. I inquarted it with .999 silver, then took it down to liquid and filtered it 3 times through scientific equipment. He claims they can't determine the karat quality between karat gold. He took it in the back to supposedly do an acid test. He didn't do it infront of me to show me anything. ( it has already been tested. 😁 ). He came back and weighed it, didn't tell me a weight, but I already knew I had 3.4g of .999 fine gold. He then weighed my silver without testing it at all. Again, I had 119g of .999 fine silver. Did his figures and gave me a low ball offer. When I said no, he got a little attitude saying, " What do you want? Im offering 80%. " I said spot price and my figures were higher and he said " go check around ". I will never do business's here again. I know a lot more about what I have than he gave me credit for and he didn't show me any way he came about his figures or the test results of my gold. Seller's beware. My custom made British coin heirloom bracelet that was handed down from my grandmother to my mother than to me was lost, because the catch came undone. Fortunately, I found it in my driveway after being driven over a few times which damaged one of the links connecting the coins together. I took it to a few jewelers for repair and either they couldn't repair it or the repair was extremely costly. I took it to Simons Jewelers and they fixed it and added a safety chain with prompt service all for a very comfortable price. I highly recommend them and have already told my friends about my experience with them.

I live in Ohio and my kids and I drove up to surprise my dad in Huntsville for his birthday. I plan to give him his father’s dog tags from when he was in the Korean war. I had a stainless steel necklace that needed to have some links cut out, the clasps fixed and the dog tags Put on them. Explain to the gentleman what I needed to have done. He said I’ll take care of it. And while we were talking, and I told him that my dad is also a veteran and he was in Vietnam. After the gentleman finished the work, I asked him what was the damage as far as Price. And he said tell your dad I said happy birthday and thank you for your service. No charge. I was so grateful. And I told my dad and gave hime the business card for any jewelry repairs he may have
