This is the worst place ever don’t ever pawn anything here. I came to Louisiana for a temporary job for a year and I pawned my gun. I WAS TOLD BY ONE OF THE WORKERS THERE TO MAKE SURE I HAVE MY SAME ID to retrieve my gun back. I went back to get them and now all of a sudden I had to have lousiana I’d to get my guns back. This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. When u do a background check you go off your ID address. They robbed me for my guns and I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau against this place. Stay away from the this scamming business establishment.

Straight and to the point awesome costumer server would recommend again

This is my first time ever purchasing a firearm and in doing so I thought I could purchase my husband one as a gift. The cashier was aware that it was a gift she still sold it to me which I put on layaway and made payments and they took my payments with no problem. Never once did the cashier ever explain to me knowing I was a first time purchaser of a fire arm tell me that it was illegal to purchase this as a gift again my first time so I’m unaware of this. It wasn’t until I went in wanting to swap out what I had on layaway for a different firearm and she called the manager to see if that was ok. Well I was refunded what I put on my layaway and was told to shop around because they didn’t have want my husband wanted. I did just that and ended up back at their store she never said a thing until I told her which piece I wanted to purchase then she preceded to tell me that she could not sell it to me being that my initial layaway was a gift. They could have did me a favor and NOT waste my time. They should have been aware as the person selling a fire arm what the dos and dont’s were. I was not mad because I understood what she was saying but again could have told me this a month ago when I put this item on layaway but she felled to do so. Definitely has lost my business

Not trustworthy. While speaking to their employee Ethan Fontenot, about a guitar and its poor condition, he said he was a certified Fender tech. "They pay me to repair their guitars" were his words. Fender does not have him listed as a tech Fender will never pay someone in a ratty pawn shop to repair a pawned beat up guitar. This is searchable info and it was extremely obvious he was not telling the truth. The shop had two very inexpensive big box guitarts and one beat up fender and lots of tools yet this greasy hands kid is lying about being a Fender tech. I left a went straight to the music store and bought from a reputable retailer.

Don't call and ask what day your pawn is due.. They tell you you good then 3 days later call you saying your item is being pulled... now I might lose my item for their mistake. And never once take blame for it. They tell me well don't know who you talked to. I tell them hey you can checkout my phone log and duration of the call. I wouldn't recommend Cash America in Lake Charles to anyone

This place is a rip-off. I took a $400 guitar there hoping to get a $100 loan and they only let me borrow $50. Four months later I went to a different pawn shop with the same guitar and they were willing to let me borrow $125 but I settled for the hundred dollars. I'll never go to Cash American Pawn again to shop or for help.
