Ridge Coin and Jewelry

I would not recommend this place. I brought in a 1987 1 oz Gold Britannia. While the coin is 22-karat, it weighs 34.08 g and contains one full troy ounce of pure gold, which is standard for pre-2013 Britannias. The staff insisted on pricing the entire coin as 22k gold, which is incorrect and significantly undervalues the piece. Bullion coins are priced based on fine gold content, not gross purity alone. I went to another dealer in Greece the same day and was offered over 1,000 more for the exact same coin. Very disappointing experience. A dealer should educate and protect their customers — not misprice well-known bullion coins.

Classy and professional, Best compensation for your Gold etc… in Rochester. Done business with them a handful of times now and also been to many places around the county. Very much appreciate them working with me, forgot my inventory sheet of items when I went to sell, after making the sale wasn’t sure everything was counted. Went back they were good to re evaluate and bumped up the price for me. They didn’t have to that’s excellent business practices.

Not what I expected, but a really great place to buy (and presumably sell) US 90% Silver. I like to visit coin shops when I travel for work, and I like to spend some time to look through collector coins. Ridge Coin and Gold is not a collector’s store, but they are a buttoned-down, knowledgeable seller/buyer of constitutional silver. The reviews that were posted about their friendliness are all true. A 4.9 Star coin shop is unheard of. (Usually sellers are upset by the price offered because they think their coins are worth more than they really are.). Ridge has earned their 4.9 stars.

My experience was exactly how the previous reviews said it would be! Josh was a great guy and it was nice to finally meet him after reading so many positive reviews. The process was quick, easy and most importantly FAIR! Also, the inside was clean and well put together. I'll definitely be doing business here for now on!!
