Olde Towne Jewelry & Loan

BUYER BEWARE!!! This place sells fake bullion coins. After speaking with other people it sounds like Old Towne has had this problem in the past and apparently don't do enough to confirm items are what they say they are. I don't know if they knew this coin was fake or not but if they're not confirming authenticity, how can you trust anything there? Just find yourself a reputable dealer and don't get burnt like I did. Just to be clear, this coin is silver plated copper.

I have been to this business for over 30 yrs. They are honest and helpful. Great layaway and the staff is AMAZING!! LOVE THIS PLACE.

I visit this pawn shop on Market st about every other week either to pay interest on items I have pawned that I don't need at the time or to see what they have. I have been going there since it was on Oak st downtown. Some of the staff is from back then some newer. Overall it's a very friendly knowledgeable staff. From musical gear to jewelry to power tools even surfboards. They're fair on prices but on more expensive items you can wait until they're on sale with big red tags. Or walk in with cash in pocket .that's the fun ...bardering! This reminds me I gotta go pay interest on a air compressor and banjo!

I’ve never left a review for anything, but this shop deserves 5 stars. My husband and I purchased 2 wedding bands and an engagement ring from here 2 months ago, they gave us a great deal on all 3 and resized them for us free of charge. I had an issue with the engagement ring last week so I called them, and they fixed it no problem and even resized it for me again all at no extra cost. They definitely care about their customers, Alejandra the manager took great care of me and everybody else was a pleasure to deal with as well. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Very welcoming, kind and have amazing relationships with their customers. The environment is positive and light and as someone with social anxiety I really appreciate this. If you're looking for top notch quality this is the pawn shop! The manager is willing to work with you. I went in a couple days ago, wanting to sell some stuff (not even thinking about whether or not they would take some of the items I had, I just assumed they would) I had two steel drums with no stand and she was still willing to take them. She worked with me while at the same time not selling the business short. Integrity, was what I felt. I really needed the money and they came through. Thank you guys! ❤

Today I had to do something that was very difficult for me and that was pond something extremely valuable to me in order to make payroll for my crew this weekend. I visited the closest pawn shop to me which was in Oxnard I’m not gonna say any names but boy did they try to take hard-core advantage of me. I ended up here at oldtown loan and jewelry. They were swift they were extremely helpful they didn’t haggle me at all and I knew they had to quadruple check with the manager because my number was so high various things. The manager swiftly approved everything and in order to protect their conversation she spoke in Spanish helping me out I’m in a mask they don’t know I understand Spanish I look completely white. I find it hilarious and incredibly helpful what they did for me they tried to do it on the low but I understood exactly what they were saying that made me come here and want to post a review on how helpful they are I’ll never go any other place they were that good. It’s their character it’s that girls character that stood out her name is Alejandra. Killer help. They are totally hidden hard to find but worth it.

This place has no respect for people’s time. I purposely went by here ahead of time to see if they would take an item of mine, I was told they would. So I went home to retrieve the item, and return to the Sales Associate who told me they would take it. The Sales Associate began processing my item, and then from out of nowhere some Big Shot (that doesn’t have to wear the normal uniform) goes up & whispers in his ear that they don’t accept the item. Thanks a lot for wasting an hour of my time for nothing. Not only will I boycott this place, but I will encourage others to as well.
