I visited Magazine Pawn Shop twice during my recent trip to New Orleans, and it was easily one of the highlights of my time in the city. The shop itself is great, but the staff truly makes the experience. I had a wonderful time chatting with Christine, who is incredibly friendly and impressively knowledgeable about their inventory. Meeting Donna (such a cutie!) was also a pleasure. They make you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door. If you’re looking for a spot with great energy and expert service, definitely stop by. I’ll be making this a mandatory stop every time I’m back in NOLA!

I got a great Takamine EG540C guitar that’s been well loved and modified but still in good condition at an excellent price. The women who helped me today were both incredibly sweet and helpful and found me exactly what I needed. I would give you more stars if I could, I love this guitar!

It’s rough out there. Lots of us are on the struggle bus. Ms. Christine was so unbelievably kind and helpful. She truly went above and beyond for me. I won’t go into details but she and her family (I’m presuming it was her sister and son or nephew) really put in the work to make it happen for me. Im not familiar with pawning things, other than watching reality-type shows, but I imagine this is not the kind of business transaction where huge amounts of trust are fostered. Not so with Ms. Christine! She really put me at ease over a painful decision. Thank you so much and I’ll be seeing you before the clock runs down!!
