Walked in and asked if they buy gold bracelets. The man nodded his head and directed me to the counter with the elderly lady. Told her I wanted to know how much she would give me for my bracelet, and then she asked how old I was. I look younger, but who cares, and made aware that I'm 20 years old. I asked how much she would give me for my bracelet since I'm at a pawn shop to pawn jewelry. 25 gram 14kt Italian gold, and she says we do not appraise gold, only buy it. If i wanted it appraised, I would have gone to a jeweler. You need to "appraise"(weigh and calculate) it and tell me how much you would buy it off me? Guess she thought I was not serious cause of my age issue earlier, left, and later went to another pawn shop who bought it off me for 1k.

This is the only Pawn Shop I will ever go to the family is absolutely wonderful. They help me whenever I need it and they are great on extensions if I need them if you’re looking for a good Pawn Shop, this is the only place to go.!!!!!!!!

Over the past decade, my husband and I have been blessed with help from Boca Pawn & Jewelry. When we walk into the unit, we are always greeted with a smile from Mom, Dad, or Son, as they are family owned and run. They are truly a hard working family. They always do their best to provide us with their highest offer for the items on loan. Additionally, the interest fees are very reasonable, as compared to other shops in the area. They also have a nice selection of items for sale. We highly recommend Boca Pawn & Jewelry!

Here the bottom line. IT'S A PAWN SHOP NOT A DEPARTMENT STORE! This is a family owned business, I've been in many time too look. Made a couple fair sales in the past. The people are very nice and fair. But, put yourself on the other side of the counter! They see a lot of people and items. Most people honest hard working trying to make a fair deal. It's disappointing when you feel they can't pay out what you feel they should. It not all about worth, but economic value too. I feel some of the lower reviews were from customers with high expectations a real need for the sale and negotiations went south. It happens. In there business, they do have to be tough not to get riped off too. I've always had a good experience and the people around me too. But I've seen people get angry when they can't get what the want or need for a product even though it's fair. At that point for safety they have to be firm and no nonsense. I'd hate to see a neighborhood business get a bad rap over a few dissapionted and difficult customers. Today in the heat of the moment we can grab are phone and vent and say anything about a business. My experience great shop,nice variety , good people . IT'S A PAWN SHOP PEOPLE, NOT SAX FIFTH AVE! It really nice compared to other pawn shops for sure!

Don't understand what the reply meant, but I'll be more specific since the lady seems to be lying in her reply to my review. I've been coming here since before they changed locations and the proprietor (ilya I believe) is a likable guy, but his mother (the old lady usually behind the counter) is pretty awful. Two times now I've come in with two items, the lady lowballs one item, I decline and try to pawn the other and she, unhappy with me not accepting the lowball on the first item, says she won't take anything else. If I'm ever to return, I'd call ahead and make sure she's not in, but I don't expect to return. The pawn shop on Hillsboro near Powerline is my new primary pawn location, even though I live 2 minutes from this place.

I'm guessing the reviews about this place being very welcoming was when it had other employees working there. I came here to browse the items they had for sale. Never felt so unwanted in an establishment before, especially by the older guy with a mark on his face. Will never come back again. EDIT: In response to your complete lie of an reply, I did not come to sell anything but rather look at what YOU were selling. If you don't like the negative feedback you are receiving for your poor lack of customer service skills, I suggest improving on them instead of COMPLETELY LYING about everyone and calling them names who gives their honest review of your store.
