I was scared to call because of the awful reviews people posted, but I’m glad I didn’t let that discourage me. I was on the phone with a representative who was so kind & caring. I was able to negotiate my debt down and paid it in full. He was even patient enough to stay on the line so we didn’t disconnect so I could call my bank. I really appreciated his professionalism and kindness.
I have a debt to settle that was sent to them. It was TWO accounts with the same amount from the same company. One of the collections doesn't even show up on my credit report yet. The first I talked with was great and he actually informed me of the insanity of the other company. He gave me the correct account number according to the one that showed up on my credit report. I called back and talked to an agent named Sherry. She was rushing me and borderline rude. She was so careless to the point that she processed the payment doe the account that doesn't even show up on my credit report and the open collection is still there! This was completely unhelpful. and they didn't even reply to the BBB when I got them involved. This payment needs to reversed and applied to the CORRECT account number.
Now I know this place is a fraud !!!!! Even if you pay them in full.They drag their legs about getting it off your credit and it appears that they're working with rental companies. Because they charge anywhere between $50- $100 per adult for application fees that you don't get back! When you check why ? " You owe Hunter Warfield". !!! That email/ note, that supposed to show that you paid them off is bogus! Nobody that we applied to just look over that crap " DENIED".!!! I know Hunter Warfield is not going to reimburse us , for them not doing their job. Do you not know, that some people needs to move immediately! Are you trying to have people's families on the street. Any amount that people has to pay is a lot of money these days. Now we're spending even more because of the lack of empathy and the " It's not my problem "! That just about everyone on these reviews are dealing with. I wouldn't give them a 1 at all. I'd give them negative numbers because a 1 is way too high. This effect people's livelihood and all you can say is give us 30-60 days. Most people who had to pay you don't have that long !
Let's start off by saying I never got my "pay for delete" letter in the mail so here we go. So I paid a collections bill that was actually in three people's name. They gave me a settlement amount for $2,282.00 when the total was $2,800. Then said they would mark it as settled on my credit report, this was July 7th 2025 and it's now October 19th 2025.. oh did I mention they called the other person on the same collections asking for $2400 a few weeks ago? How is this not fraud? Clearly we have a major humanitarian issue here. I'm waving my money at you to do absolutely nothing? Yeah I don't think so, tell it to the FDCPA . I put a fraud notice on my payment, you're stopping me from getting a home loan and moving on with our lives, you don't own the rights to people, but you own the rights to fictitious paper.
Says my mom's owes 30k but won't show proof she has been making payments for months an won't report to the credit agencies...keeps telling her she emailed her receipts but never had..... This company definitely needs to be investigated....
I am writing to follow up on the persistent issue concerning a reported balance from Vinebrook, which continues to cause significant difficulties with my housing I have consistently encountered denials for housing due to a reported outstanding balance of $249.33 from Vinebrook. Upon learning of this, I reached out to Vinebrook and was subsequently advised that the balance had been charged off and transferred to Hunter Warfield Collection Agency. I contacted Hunter Warfield, who informed me that my account is currently under investigation to determine the validity of this balance. It has now been several years since my move-out, and the fact that this matter remains unresolved, with the collection agency still 'investigating,' is profoundly concerning. This prolonged uncertainty directly impacts my ability to secure new housing, as I am consistently being denied due to this ambiguous outstanding debt. I urgently request clarification on whether a definitive balance is owed and, if so, how I can promptly resolve this to clear my record. The current situation of being denied housing while an investigation of this length is ongoing is untenable and causes significant distress. NO WONDER THEIR REVIEWS SAY ONE STAR! Need 0
