I called earlier today to get some more info on loan payment/deference options after submitting a request to speak to someone and got no response. I was met with a condescending attitude from the minute I explained the reason for my call. I was told the payment plans I saw on your website didn’t exist because "people are supposed to pay their loans" and that the options of payment deferrals and other options that I was told about when I signed the loan were "given by a representative that offered that too many times to too many people". After reading a few reviews from others it’s clear you have a problem employee at this location that needs to be dealt with or removed from employment with this company. He rudely told me to call customer service and offered no help. After speaking with customer service they were confused why an employee would say they didn’t offer payment options that are clearly stated on the website. I’m not sure why someone who either A: doesn’t know his own company policies, or B: doesn’t want to do his job and offer help to paying customers, is still employed with this company. Its clear his behavior has been unchecked based on the numerous poor reviews, and an unfortunate representation of this company.

My last review was removed, so I will submit again. I was treated with kindness and respect by the majority of the team, until I ran into medical issues and called to ask about my options for payment. A male employee told me that I should make "better life choices" when it came to finding work in order to pay. I was disappointed and mortified by the way I was treated. I will never work with them again.

Great people! But the knowledge giving to them from their higher ups is confusing. They seem to know how close a deal but aren’t able to answer all questions. It seems that the once you ask questions on how things are calculated they don’t seem to know and don’t go above and beyond to help you in that matter. Just with an answer ," its how the system calculate it". Not a great way to make people feel comfortable to take a loan. But great people just some things require more training.

Jose is possibly the worse customer service representative there is. I was patient with him the first couple of times but he is so condescending and just overall makes you feel as if One Main Financial is a Loan Shark and out to attack you emotionally. They are not here to work with your financial needs or concerns if they arise. At least Jose is not. His tone is beyond terrible and makes you feel helpless and small. No financial institution should make any customer feel the way I feel right now.

My experience with the company was overall positive, I used to love talking to their specialist they were always so helpful. It took a turn for the worse when Jose joined the team as a customer service representative. Jose's conduct was unacceptable - he was not only rude but also condescending. It appears that the branch does not provide sufficient customer service training to its employees. If calls are recorded, as is the case in most businesses, the company should either provide Jose with proper training or terminate his employment, as he is not fit to handle customer inquiries. It would be ideal for management to review his calls to assess his performance, as he is the worst of the worst. If you plan to become a customer, I suggest going to another branch, there's multiple branches around the Bay Area.
