Gave myself a very good title loan for My Mercedes Benz .He helped me understand what I was getting myself into and explained in detail about how much I will be paying back for my loan. And I tell you it's peanuts on a dollar. And he gives you a reminder email to make sure you don't miss payments. These guys are simply THE BEST in the business on all levels! Most finance company's in this "niche" are in the business of charging unreasonable rates accompanied by unrealistic terms. VIP is a top notch company with straightforward pricing and terms that are manageable. The staff at the Hickory Creek location are very professional and operate with a level of ethics that is hard to come by these days.... they truly want to help! Buyer beware. I am writing this review on behalf of my mother after her experience with VIP Loans and its manager, Lewis. In my opinion, this company engages in predatory and deceptive practices that no consumer should have to deal with. My mother entered into what she understood to be a straightforward title-loan agreement. Instead, she was met with shifting terms, verbal promises that did not match the paperwork, and constant threats that her vehicle would be taken even when she was actively trying to resolve the account. Throughout this process, my mother was given inconsistent information about the balance, extra fees, and what was required to keep her vehicle. Each time she complied with what they requested, they moved the goalposts. Phone conversations were aggressive and unprofessional, and requests for clear written explanations of the charges and terms were ignored or brushed off. From my perspective, the conduct of this office appears to violate basic principles of fair dealing and could raise serious concerns under Texas consumer-protection and debt-collection laws. My mother is a hardworking woman who relied on her vehicle to get to work and care for her family. Instead of being treated with honesty and respect, she was taken advantage of at a vulnerable time. In my opinion, the service here was not just "bad," it was fundamentally dishonest and exploitative. I strongly recommend that anyone considering doing business with VIP Loans or Lewis carefully review all documents, get independent advice before signing anything, and, if possible, take your business elsewhere.
